I want to buy my own piccolo. Can somebody tell me the differences between these three kinds please?
So, there’s the average silver one:
And then there’s the black piccolo my school has used sometimes during concert season that had no mouth plate and you just blew through the hole (I think it’s wooden):
And then there’s the colored piccolos. If I got one of those, I would want blue with silver keys (like my school colors).
I want to buy my own piccolo, but I’m not sure which one is the best. I have only been able to play the silver one in my school band, so I only know what playing that one is like. Other than the appearance, can somebody tell me the differences between these three piccolos (how smoothly it plays, quality, etc) and let me know which one they think I should invest in? I know it’s up to me, but I need opinions from other piccolo-ists. Thankyou. :)
